May We Take In Show?

Wanting to take in a live show? There's quite a few to chose from happening in the Blue Water Area throughout the month of May.

The Port Huron Civic Theatre presents Kiss Me, Kate this weekend at McMorran Place. Featuring the music of Cole Porter, this play about romantic misunderstanding won 5 Tony Awards when it premiered on Broadway over six decades ago and has continued to delight audiences ever since.

In Marine City, Charles Schultz's Peanuts come to life on stage May 20th through 22nd and the 26th through 29th when the family favorite musical You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown takes the stage at the Snug Theatre.

If you are looking a play of a more serious subject, The Port Austin Community Theater is presenting the Diary Of Anne Frank as their spring drama on May 6-8th.

Have you ever wanted to be in the middle of the excitement of a classic TV game show? Well, you can get the feeling without traveling to California to be in a studio audience. This Saturday evening, May 7th, the Harbor Beach Community Theatre will feature Match Game '76 and Password Plus as it hosts the annual Game Show Series.

Laughs will be a plenty at Port Huron's McMorran Place on Tuesday, May 10th when Jim Breuer, SNL alumni and star of the film Half Baked, brings his family friendly show to town.

Perhaps you'd like to listen to some music? The Lexington Village Theatre has that covered with country music singer/songwriter Keith Anderson this Friday, the Pink Floyd Laser Light Spectacular on Saturday, May 14th and the return of Detroit psychedelic soul/rock legends Rare Earth on Sunday, May 29th.

There's some unique sounds happening in Port Sanilac this month as well. On Sunday, May 15th, The Sanilac County Historical Museum and Village welcome Tritone Paradox. This trio composes and performs instrumental acoustic guitar/percussion based music inspired by rock, jazz, bluegrass, country, folk, avant-garde and world music.
