TBT: Steamers At The Port Huron Dock

People gather and line up to board the steamer ships moored at the Port Huron dock.

The year of this postcard is 1908. The first somewhat affordable automobile to the average person, the Ford Model T, wouldn't even roll out of the factory doors until that autumn. The fastest transportation to travel long distances at the time were either the trains that cut across the landscape or hopping on one of these passenger boats to get to your destination.
